Water Management

Trimble TMX-2050 Display

In the middle of a busy season, the last thing you need is a complicated interface. Built on the Android operating system, the flexible platform lets you choose the application you want to use based on the work you need to do today—FmX Plus or Precision-IQ. The FmX Plus app leverages the same familiar workflows and menus of the Trimble FmX integrated display so there's no need to retrain or learn new software. The Precision-IQ app provides a graphics-rich and streamlined workflow designed specially on the TMX-2050 display and for today's leading grower. View different mapping layers, such as variable rate application, speed, and GPS quality overlaid on background map imagery. Manage your field directly from the display with the Field Manager view, showing fields, AB lines, and boundary information all in one easy-to-access screen. Click to Enlarge

WM-Drain farm drainage solution

The Trimble WM-Drain farm drainage solution is a concept to completion toolset that streamlines the survey, analysis, design, installation, and mapping steps of surface and subsurface drainage.

WM-Drain helps you:

  • Ensure optimal 3D drain placement
  • Improve crop yields by controlling ponding
  • Optimize root depth
  • Maximize planting seasons
  • Minimize nutrient loss

WM-Drain guides you through the entire drainage workflow:

  • Survey - Collect 3D field data with ease by using the FmX integrated display.
  • Analysis - Analyze the 3D field data using Farm Works Surface software to make better-informed drainage decisions.
  • Design - Design and verify a complete 3D drainage system using Surface software, or design drainage lines on-the-go without having to leave your vehicle.
  • Installation - Take your designs back to the field and utilize the WM-Drain module on the FmX display and Trimble's 3D machine control technology for precise installation of your pipe or surface ditches.
  • Mapping - Map the true location of your installed drainage pipes or ditches and utilize the records for future maintenance or drainage expansion projects.

WM-Topo Survey System

Features

  • Internal 900MHz or 450MHz radio
  • 440 channel GNSS receiver
  • Ultra-rugged housing built to withstand harsh conditions
  • Field-proven Nomad handheld computer with specialized WM-Topo field software
  • Integrated WiFi and optional GSM cellular modem for wireless data transfer via Connected Farm™
  • Quickly check depth or figure grade between points

The WM-Topo system can be used to collect survey data for creating project plans and to check accuracies during drainage or leveling projects. Benefits include:

Highly Portable

The WM-Topo system can be taken into areas that are inaccessible to tractor or truck-mounted survey equipment due to poor field conditions or mature crops-allowing you to easily collect survey data by hand.

Fast Payback

The WM-Topo system pays for itself by enabling users to gather topographic survey data year round and in a variety of environments.

Wireless Data Transfer

Topographic data collected with the WM-Topo system can be transferred via USB stick or Connected Farm to Farm Works Software ® or the FmX® integrated display to create a 3D model of the field.

Integrates with Drainage and Leveling Operations

Surface models created from the collected topographic data can be used to install drain pipes with the WM-Drain farm drainage solution or to create a leveling design for use with the FieldLevel II system .

AgGPS FieldLevel II system

3-D leveling system for water management

The Trimble® AgGPS® FieldLevel II system for water management can help keep water costs down and efficiently distribute water by maintaining grade.

Topographic Data can be collected via the AgGPS FmX™ integrated display while using the AgGPS Autopilot™ automated steering system, or connected to an RTK receiver stand-alone. Using the AgGPS 442 GNSS or AgGPS 432 receivers you can collect detailed topography data, allowing you to precisely match scrapers to the survey data when it is time to level. With the FmX integrated display you can runAgGPS Autopilot for accurate passes at the same time as FieldLevel II further maximizing the efficiency of your equipment.

With a topographic survey you can calculate a best-fit levelling and section the field using the AutoPlane functionality right on the display, or use the AgGPS MultiPlane software to design more complex scenarios in your office and import the design back into the FieldLevel II system.

When levelling the field, AgGPS FieldLevel II system will automatically raise and lower the blade on the scrapers based on the tractors location. Dirt will be moved to obtain the MultiPlane or AutoPlane design.

AgGPS MultiPlane software

Land Leveling Design Software

The AgGPS® MultiPlane software takes field collected topographic data from anyAgGPS Field Information System (for example, AgGPS FieldManager™ display) used with the high accuracy AgGPS 432 or 442 receiver.

The AgGPS MultiPlane software operates 3D land-form designs for the customer to evaluate. The end result is a cut sheet and a design control file that will assist the contractor in the land forming operation using the FieldLevel II system.

Farm Works Surface Software

The Surface software module provides a surface and sub-surface drainage water management solution designed to be the perfect partner for the Trimble® FieldLevel II leveling system on the FmX™ integrated display.

Surface is an analysis and design tool that assists with the optimal placement of tile and surface drains.  This helps drain the field adequately, and subsequently increases crop yields.  Combine 3D views and water flow analysis tools to decide where surface ditches or subsurface tile lines should be installed to optimally drain the field, and ultimately increase crop yields.

The powerful Farm Works software drawing tools also let you draw the lines right over the map on the screen.  Drainage lines drawn on the screen then produce a vertical profile of the existing surface along any line.  This allows the operator to quickly decide if the location of the design will be ideal for ditch placement or to install drainage pipe.  It also tells the operator the amount of material required to complete the job.

Exporting these designs back to the FmX integrated display lets you use the Autoslope feature of the FieldLevel II system to design the vertical component of your surface or sub-surface designs by defining slope and depth constraints.  This allows the FieldLevel II system to automatically instruct any drainage machine or implement to install in the right place, at the right depth and slope.
